In what appears to be a continuation of what began in 2024, the MOK Foundation has paid the WAEC fees of 200 students in Kwara State, Nigeria. During the event organised to showcase the beneficiaries in Offa, Mr. Saheed Lawal, executive director of the MOK Foundation, said that the selection process was rigorous and transparent, with beneficiaries chosen from various public schools across the state. The foundation worked closely with school administrators and local education authorities to identify students who were struggling to pay their WAEC fees, Mr Saheed concluded by advising the beneficiaries to come out in flying colors.
Reacting to the development, the Kwara State treasurer of ANCOPS, Mr Oyawoye O.O., commended the MOK Foundation for their generosity and commitment to education "We are grateful for the support of the MOK Foundation in sponsoring the WAEC fees of 200 students in our state. This gesture will go a long way in alleviating the financial burden on these students and their families."
Also speaking, the proprietor of lens Polytechnic, Offa, Dr. Azeez Yisa, ACA who doubles as the guest speaker while speaking on the topic "Illuminating the Future," Dr. Yisa advised parents to allow children to choose the career of their choice in line with their conviction. He shared his story while growing up to the students to learn, Dr. Yisa appreciates the founder of the MOK Foundation, Alhaji Muhydeen Okunlola Kayode, for providing educational support to the students. In his kind gestures, Dr. Yisa awarded full tertiary education support in Lens Polytechnic to one of the WAEC scholarship beneficiaries.
In his presentation, the President of Offa Descendants Union (ODU home branch) Chief Lanre Shittu appreciates the founder of the MOK Foundation fo his continued effort in making sure that everyone counts, he prayed for his longevity of life while admonishing the student to be a good Ambassador of their various homes during and after the exams.
The occasion witnessed dignitaries across Kwara State, teachers, principals, educationist, and traditional leaders across Kwara state.
