The Muhydeen Okunlola Kayode (MOK) Foundation, a non-governmental organization that aims to empower communities and transform lives, marked the World NGO Day on February 27, 2024 reminiscing on its various programmes and activities.
World NGO Day is an international day dedicated to recognize, celebrate and honour all non-governmental and nonprofit organizations, and the people behind them that contribute to the society all year around⁴.
The MOK Foundation, which was established in 2023 by Qs Muhydeen Okunlola Kayode, has been supporting students with scholarships grants, sports, and mentorship programmes, as well as providing free health care services, business grant, and skill acquisition training to the people of Offa, Oyun, Kwara State and beyond
In commemoration of the 2024 World NGO Day, the founder and chairman of the MOK Foundation, Qs Muhydeen Okunlola Kayode, reiterated the vision and mission of the foundation, which is to empower communities and transform lives through education, health, entrepreneurship and others.
He said: "We are proud to be part of the global NGO community, and we are committed to continue our work in improving the lives of the people we serve. We believe that everyone deserves a chance to achieve their dreams and potentials, and we are here to provide that opportunity. We also encourage more people to join us in this noble cause, as we celebrate the World NGO Day."
