Can England Win Finland Today or Would it be Lee Carsley’s Last Game as Interim Manager?
There would be a UEFA Nations League Group B match encounter between Finland and England today. It is a very important match for the Three Lions because they lost at home to Greece in their last encounter of UEFA Nations League match, it was a very disappointing result for The Three Lions and their interim Coach Lee Carsley.
Finland have been on the run of not winning their last 5 matches which they only drew once, and that was the friendly match they played with Scotland which ended 2-2 as draw. I believe they will be hoping to cause an upset with England today who previously lost to Greece who is ranked No 48 in the world according to FIFA ranking, it is always a game of football where surprises can spring up and unexpected upset often happen.
England will be desperate to get back on the winning ways today because of their disappointing performance against a low-ranked Greek side which has never won against the Three Lions before. Most English fans were disappointed against the encounter and they couldn’t believe such defeat could happen. It was actually an emotional match for Greece because of their team mate George Baldock who recently died. But it has been so long that England last lost to a low-ranked team like that.
The interim Manager, Lee Carsley has been quite enjoying winnings since he assumed office until the last disappointing match against the Greek, I’m very sure he would put out his best players to finish off Finland in today’s encounter, but if he fails to secure a win today, there is a lower probability that he would be able to secure the big job of the England permanent Manager in the future.
The star players to be looked out for today that can put out their best performances are: The likes of Joel Pohjanpalo, who has been in impressive form for Finland and his club Verona in Italy, he has scored 3 times in his last 5 matches, while for England, Jude Bellingham has been impressive for country and his club Real Madrid as well, in his last 5 games for both country and club, he has scored once and made an assist, but Jude Bellingham is a player that has always shown up in important matches and makes huge difference.
